Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 July 2026
Important: Guardian Shield is a security aid, not a guarantee. It cannot promise to prevent theft, loss, or unauthorised access, and it must only be used on devices you own or are authorised to protect.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Guardian Shield mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by the developer of Guardian Shield ("we", "us"). By installing, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Guardian Shield on devices you own or control, for your own personal, lawful use. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer (except where permitted by law), or tamper with the app.
2. Lawful and authorised use only
Guardian Shield includes powerful features such as camera capture, location tracking, SMS command control, and background monitoring. You agree to use these only on your own device, or on a device you are legally authorised to protect. You must not use the Service to monitor, track, photograph, or intercept the communications of any other person without their knowledge and consent where such consent is required by law. You are solely responsible for using the app in compliance with all applicable laws, including privacy, surveillance, and communications laws in your jurisdiction.
3. Installation from outside an app store
The app is distributed as an APK downloaded from this website. To install it you may need to enable "Install from Unknown Sources". You acknowledge that sideloading software carries inherent risk, and you agree to download the app only from our official domain. Always verify you obtained the file from guardianshield.uk.
4. Required permissions
Certain features require sensitive Android permissions (Accessibility, Device Admin, Camera, Location, SMS). By enabling those features you consent to the app using the corresponding permission for that purpose, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. No guarantee — inherent limitations
Guardian Shield is provided as a protective tool on a best-effort basis. Because of how mobile operating systems and hardware work, some protections have limits that no app can overcome. For example, a forced hardware power-off, a factory reset from recovery, removing the SIM, or disabling network connectivity can defeat anti-theft features. We do not warrant that the Service will prevent theft or loss, recover a device, or capture an intruder in every situation.
6. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties (for example, breach checking, malware-hash intelligence, push notifications, and email delivery). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those services, which are governed by their own terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, device, profits, or property, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any failure of an anti-theft feature to operate as expected.
9. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
